Here is how it was written up in my departmental highlights bulletin:
Jeff Kelley elected HFES Fellow
John F. (Jeff) Kelley has been elected Fellow of the Human Factors and
Ergonomics Society (HFES) for his many contributions to the discipline and to
the Society. Election as a Fellow is one of the highest honors bestowed by
HFES. Established in 1957, HFES is an interdisciplinary nonprofit
organization of professional people involved in the human factors field. The
society, with membership of about 5000, promotes the discovery and exchange
of knowledge concerning the characteristics of human beings that are
applicable to the design of systems and devices of all kinds.
